Ezra’s story begins with heartbreaking neglect, but it ends with forever happiness. Once a frail, skeletal pup, this innocent bulldog was found collapsed on a stranger’s porch, suffering from extreme heat exhaustion and starvation. But today, thanks to your support and the tireless efforts of our rescue, Ezra has been adopted!

On that fateful day when he nearly succumbed to the scorching heat and his gnawing hunger, Ezra was discovered struggling to survive. His body was merely a fragile shell, with a critical body score of just 1. The extreme heat had taken a brutal toll on him, and it was clear he hadn’t eaten or received proper care for an extended period of time. The concerned neighbor who found him made a desperate plea in a local, online group, begging for help. And with no time to waste, we answered the call.

We acted swiftly, rushing to get Ezra out of danger and into a safe environment where he could receive the immediate, life-saving care he needed, far from the grueling temperatures. His journey to recovery began with fluids and a carefully planned refeeding process. His body was so weak that gaining weight had to be slow and controlled, but Ezra, the fighter that he was, never gave up.

Despite efforts to track down his past, no one claimed Ezra, and there were no records to trace his story. Where he came from, and how he got to such a tragic state remained a mystery, but we were determined that his future would be bright. Each day, Ezra’s strength grew, and so did his spirit. Slowly but surely, he regained his weight, his energy, and the sparkle in his eyes. He was no longer suffering and instead, was greeting each day happily and full of hope.

Ezra’s transformation has been nothing short of a miracle! And after months of recovery, he found his forever home—a family who cherishes him for the loving, gentle soul he is. Now, his days are filled with play, affection, and the joy of being part of a family that loves him unconditionally.
