Wednesday Addams

Sweet Wednesday Addams endured unimaginable pain before finding her second chance. Once a fragile little soul with a broken jaw and a severely injured eye, she spent her life outdoors, hiding from danger and falling victim to ruthless acts of abuse. But thanks to our incredible community, Wednesday's story has taken a beautiful turn.

Earlier this year, a kind stranger witnessed a horrific scene unfold—kids were throwing rocks at a kitty’s face, striking her eye and shattering her jaw. The kitty screamed out in pain, trying to hide but finding herself surrounded with nowhere to go. The finder swooped in to help in the nick of time, scooping up the wounded kitty, Wednesday, and rushing her to our rescue. Despite her pain, and the cruel mistreatment she endured, Wednesday still purred happily, as though she knew that her new beginning had finally come.

Once in our care, we quickly dove into action. Wednesday’s eye was damaged beyond repair, needing removal, and her broken jaw required surgery to mend. With the support of amazing partners like CUDDLY and Friends of Dallas Animal Services, we were able to raise the funds necessary to get her the help she needed! 

Following enucleation surgery, Wednesday was placed in the loving hands of an experienced foster mom.  Her recovery was steady, marked by small but meaningful milestones—eating on her own, enjoying head scratches, and learning to trust again. Her sweetness never once faltered, and she continued to purr and relish in the love she was given. By the time of her check-up, her progress was undeniable. Her jaw had healed, her spirit had fully blossomed, and she managed well with the sole eye.

The happiest chapter of Wednesday’s journey came when she found her forever home. Today, she’s thriving with her new family, where she’s cherished and adored. Her days are now filled with love, comfort, and the joy of simply being safe. We are just so happy for her, elated at the thought that she will never again be in danger.
