Sweet Clementine is a senior Basset Hound that was surrendered by her owners. She and her brother O'Mally were left all alone at a high kill shelter. Clementine was completely blind due to a serious infection in both of her eyes. The trauma her eyes endured form lack of care and treatment surpassed the point of being healed with medication. Clem's only saving grace was her brother. O'Mally had been acting as her very own seeing eye dog!
Priceless Pets Rescue discovered the two in the shelter and knew they had to help. They picked up the pair and made sure each of them received the care and love they needed. Priceless Pets soon opened a poundWISHES campaign for Clementine and thanks to generous donations we were able to surpass her donation goal! Clem now had enough funds to get both eyes removed. She was an excellent patient and she was no longer in pain. Her foster says, "she is doing great, she gets along with everyone. Her eyes have healed up very nicely and she is a super great dog. She is so sweet and has the best temperament- you wouldn't even know she was blind, the way she gets around!"
While O'Malley was strong for his little sister, he soon was experiencing issues of his own. He is now kidney failure and Priceless Pets is again caring for him. You can click here and find out how you can help O'Mally.
These two are the cutest bonded pair you'll every see. Thank you to our amazing donors for supporting Clem and O'Mally.
