The Heart of a Champion

Champion was once seen as worthless by a backyard breeder, now he means the world to his new forever family!

Champion was born into a poor breeding situation; his back legs didn't work and his breeder wanted to put him down. This breeder would not have been able to gain a profit by selling Champ. Luckily, our friends at Barks of Love Animal Rescue and Placement Services saw Champion's worth and took him in when he was only a few weeks old. Research and tests needed to be done before his rescue and doctors could determine the best option for Champion. Unfortunately, an infection his in back legs made that decision for them. His legs needed to be amputated.

Barks of Love knew they needed help so they created a CUDDLY campaign for Champion. As soon as he recovered from surgery, he would need a specialized wheelchair. With help from our amazing donors, Champion was able to get his new wheels! Our CUDDLY team even got to see his first real outing in his wheelchair, check out the video above! Things were a little bumpy at first but it didn't take long for Champ to get the hang of it! Not long after Champion got his wheels he was adopted by an amazing couple. They even started an Instagram account for Champ, you can follow along and watch him grow HERE! We are so grateful to Barks of Love and Champion's amazing fosters who dedicated their time and love to this amazing pup!
