Sweet, little Ruby was left inside of a milk crate on the side of the road. She developed severe mange.

This precious girl had never known kindness or love and had only suffered through her short life thus far. Luckily, Ruby was picked up by a good Samaritan in an area known for dog dumping in Homestead, Florida.

Once in our care, we wanted to help her recover fully and make sure she received a second chance at life. Thanks to al the wonderful donors for monetary and wishlist donations for her ongoing treatment, as well as healthy products that aided her recovery. Sarcoptic mange is a highly contagious skin disease, where mites burrow through the skin causing intense itching and irritation. It is extremely uncomfortable, and yet Ruby remained kind. She made remarkable progress in such a short time, and we are happy to say she not only reached her goal thanks to your support she made a full recovery and now lives in the loving arms of her new mommy.
