Rescuers at Sonoma's Haven found hopeless and broken senior Bruno aka "Toothless" in a Houston Shelter. At around 10-years-old, his chances for adoption seemed low -- BUT with a soft spot for the seniors, Rescuers decided that this was not going to be the ending to Bruno's story!

On September 16th, 2020, Rescuers tagged our little silver snouted angel and took him to Sonoma's Haven for evaluation. What they found as they took a closer look was heartbreaking...

Bruno's teeth had been filed down AND he had lacerations all around his neck and head area. On top of that, his jaw was deformed which would require surgery along with his gums. The condition of his jaw, teeth, and gums, alone made it extremely difficult and painful for him to eat and he was heartworm positive.

At that point, it was clear that this guy lived a rough life and how he had made it this long was a bit of a mystery. We realized while he had no fight in him physically, he had a fighting spirit hiding somewhere behind those sad eyes. He was broken, battered, and unwilling to move without serious coaxing.

THANKFULLY Rescuers had one sweet soul named Tracey step up to foster him almost immediately! She took him into her home with patience and love while caring for him through multiple surgeries, an infection, and even his heartworm treatment.

Today, we see a completely different dog!! Where there was no light in his eyes, his joy for life has been reinstated. He has no more pain, he is almost done with his heartworm treatment, AND as of March 7th, 2021, he gets to call Tracey his MOM and FOREVER best friend. We could not have dreamed of a better ending for this old man, and we are so very happy to have had the support of CUDDLY donor community and CUDDLY love along the way!

We thank you all for your support towards Bruno and Sonoma's Haven AND for your continued support! This is why we do what we do, HAPPY TAILS, Bruno!!
