Mama Maisie & Babies

Mama Maisie and her seven babies were surrendered to the shelter because mama had diarrhea and her previous owners didn't want to deal with it. Shortly after, it was discovered that Mama Maisie's previous owners fed her BLEACH- yes, you read that right.  The inside of her mouth was covered in ulcers and her intestines were also burned which is why she was leaking diarrhea. She also had a severe infection on her rear end from diarrhea, as well as the bleach that was working its way out of her system. Unfortunately, this meant that while Mama Maisie had been nursing her puppies, she has been putting bleach into their little bodies. 

It was a very long, rocky road filled with lots of antibiotics, IV fluids, and pain meds, but we are excited to announce that not only did Mama Maisie and her babies make a full recovery but also each and every one of them have been adopted out to loving forever homes!

Thanks to you guys, Mama Maisie and her babies were able to be given a second chance at life. We cannot even begin to thank you for all the support shown for sweet Maisie, and we are so glad she finally gets to live the life she deserves!
