Mr. & Mrs.

This is Mr. and Mrs. Klaus- but since the holidays are over, they've just decided to go by Mr. and Mrs. They are darling senior poodles who were rescued from a horribly abusive and neglectful situation and sent to the shelter. From one look at them, it was clear they have never received general vet care in their lifetime, let alone an ounce of TLC.

Since they were not getting adopted by the public and needed a wide range of veterinary services which the shelter could not provide, Live Love was called upon to get them out of the cold kennels and into a foster home for the holidays. Their rescue journey began in December 2020.

They quickly became accustomed to being cherished Live Love Dogs and continue to enjoy the comforts of their new life. Their medical care started with senior comprehensive exams; blood work, urinalysis, X-rays, and medications to manage their pain and skin/dental infections while they awaited surgery. Live Love's team knew that Mr. and Mrs. were too weak to survive the multiple procedures they needed all in one surgery, so they did the more costly, but the safest approach of splitting the procedures into multiple surgeries over several months. 

Mrs. has had her dental cleaning and double Mastectomy as she had mammary tumors which needed to be removed. Mr. has had his neuter, dental cleaning, and both of his eyes removed because rescuers learned they are not functioning and causing him a great deal of pain. Along the way, Mr. and Mrs. had experienced a few setbacks but their resilience and will to fight is one to admire. Mr. suffered some intermittent bleeding from his surgery and Mrs. had to have a few complications and had to undergo a small procedure due to her mammary surgery incision dehiscing, or separating. 

It was a long journey for these two, but their foster family ensured they were safe and loved every step of the way. And, finally, they made a full recovery and were made available for adoption, and it wasn't long before these two found their forever homes…TOGETHER! Because of CUDDLY, Mr. and Mrs. raised over $5,000 and received so many much-needed items from their wishlist to aid in their journey!
