Thor was found with a BONE stuck in his stomach and he was set to be euthanized because of it; he didn't stand a chance at survival if no one came to his aid.

Thankfully, rescuers from ThisisHouston tagged this sweet pup just hours before his life was to be taken. Thor is only four months old and was originally found roaming an apartment complex by a citizen who brought him to BARC shelter on April 3rd. He was extremely emaciated and in the days of being at the shelter, had not eaten nor had any bowel movement. He was also been displaying nervous behavior and would snarl if one got near his mouth. He was thus sedated to examine his mouth, but it only showed that his adult teeth were starting to come in which was probably painful for him. He would also bark in panic when staff would come to his kennel and he flinched at every move or sound. He was offered food many times and was interested but would chew on the food and spit it out. That's when the shelter staff had his x-rays taken, revealing a massive BONED lodged in his stomach which caused a BAD obstruction...

Rescuers had no idea when/where/why/how this happened to him BUT they knew to focus on making Thor better, which they did. He's was rushed to Texas A&M Small Animal Clinic and moved to critical care because his electrolytes were pretty low among other complications. After having surgery and doctors removing a foreign body that looked something like a chicken bone, Thor went into recovery. And although he had a few hiccups while resting, such as a small upper respiratory infection, his fosters and rescuers never once let him fall behind. For weeks, Thor progressed. He gained weight and started to act like a normal dog again.

And as of today, we are so happy to announce that Thor has found his forever family. After everything he suffered and all the uncertainties thrown his way, this happy ending is so comforting to hear. Thor truly is an amazing animal and thanks to the kind support of his CUDDLY donor's who not only helped raise over $2000 for his medical expenses but sent him numerous goodies that helped him during recovery, this boy got a second chance.

Thank you to everyone for making this happen. We couldn't have done this without you all!
