Haven

After being abandoned at 4 months old, and left like garbage on the side of the road... She wandered to a nearby house that was unfortunately too close to the main road. This sweet baby's luck ran out, and Haven was hit by a car with an impact that severely damaged her leg! 

Upon receiving this little pup, Rescuers immediately took her to their vet. Miraculously the bone in the leg was NOT broken, however, the tendons are shredded which is just as bad, if not worse than a broken bone.  

Soon, time let this little lady heal, as she strived so hard to become stronger and better with each day. With help from an amazing staff of doctors, Haven was required to stay under their care for four long weeks before she could return to rescuers at Pit Bull Second Chance Rescue. The vet was able to mend the tendons back together, but not without keeping a very close eye on this buddle of love. Using antibiotics, stints, and pain medication, this technique prompting this sweet dog into getting control back over her keg. Once returned, it was on the humble backs of the rescuers to ensure she recovered and healed with weeks of physical therapy. With a tiny cast and tiny steps, this lady took HUGE leaps in her recovery!

A few more weeks passed and Haven could put her complete weight on her leg, play with her kennel mates, and even show all the gratitude to her amazing team of rescuers. This was when the rescuers knew that this little lady could be put up for adoption. 

At long last, every rescuer's dream day for their loving patient had come true--ADOPTION DAY! That's right! Haven was obviously going to get a home once she was all healed, as her silly ears and her happy smile are undeniable. This little pup's journey has been a rollercoaster ride, but we at CUDDLY are happy to report that her past didn't affect her future. Haven is now safe and with her forever family! Rescuers have assured us that this new loving home is a fantastic fit for this high-energy lovebug. Her future is only filled with playing, running in her new yard, and getting all the love she so dearly missed and deserved.
