Rebel

Unfortunately, Rebel's story is all too familiar to Rescuers... She was abandoned by her family, and like a good, loyal pup - she chose to stay there and wait for them to return. Days slowly turned into weeks, weeks turned into a month with her owners never to return for her. Animal control was contacted a month ago, but every visit they could NOT find her!

They quickly got Rebel into the Veterinary Hospital, and upon her medical examination, it was clear she had a rectal prolapse that needed immediate surgery. This poor girl had been suffering for SO long! Rebel was infested with hookworms, and the vet told Rescuers at Pit Bull Second Chance Rescue that if she would have gone another 24hrs, she would not have survived.

After about a week or so, Rebel was able to get her stitches removed and given medication to take while recovering, when her condition took a turn for the worst. This sweet pup's prolapse came all the way out! Creating another hellish situation for this lovig pup, and again she found herself in emergency surgery. With no fail, her bowels still weren't moving properly prompting vets to have to do a THIRD exploratory surgery!! This poor girl got dealt such a rough hand, but she still fought to survive every single step of the way. 

Eventually, they were able to diagenos Rebel with Irritable Bowel Disease and cleared her of any other diseases and hookworms. She was able to make a full recovery with the amazing staff at Pit Bull Second Chance Rescue and we at CUDDLY couldn't be happier for this sweet victor! 

Just as rescuers were about to put her up for adoption they recieved a shocking call, making this pup's journey even wilder! Rebel was stolen from her family's fenced-in backyard and ditched by the thief at a random location. This loving girl has multiple medical conditions and when she was stolen, she went without her much-needed medicine, causing all the conditions she was suffering when rescuers got to her! Everyone involved is over the moon to reunite this family back together after such an intense journey of recovery. Seeing them meet again after so many months brought tears of joy to the rescuers, this is what they want for every animal, and Rebel got it!

After everything, we want to focus on the donors who made this possible in this loving pup's life. Without the generous donations Rebel's family may have never found her, and if they did, she probably would have been dead.
