Groot

This is Groot. He was rescued by neighbors of the Guapiles area after suffering from a dog attack, which serenely injured him. He was brought to our Release Site for immediate care and was later moved to our headquarters for surgery and treatment, which included lots of smoothies and exercise. 

Now, after almost 3 months in our care, we are so excited to share his rewilding!   Our team brought him back to the Release Site, where he was taken to the deep rainforest and set him free, to the trees again! It was as if he never left. He roamed the forest floor, found ants right away, and moved very fast! 

Afterward, he climbed with ease, and disappeared into the forest, just like he hoped. A massive thank you to everyone who donated to his Cuddly campaign. Because without you, this would not have happened. What a success story. We did it, fam!
