Baxter

Sweet Baxter was a stray wandering the streets with no one to love him. He was brought to the shelter in desperate need of eye surgery! This little boy is a shelter dog that Pit Bull Second Chance sponsored!

This sweet boy went through a rough patch when he was brought into the Pit Bull Second Chance Rescue.  He was in need of eye surgery because he had entropion, which causes the eyelids to roll inwards leading to irritation.  Rescuers got him the entropion surgery to correct this, so he does not have the irritation on his eyes which could have lead to medical complications for his eye health. After weeks of healing, Baxter was able to have his stitches removed.  

We are so happy this angel was able to heal properly!  Once he was in good health, he was able to be put up for adoption!  This adorable angel enjoyed being with humans and playing with other animals.  His health grew immensely and he gained weight and became more active.  He now gets to live and go to school with his new human!  Baxter was accepted into a great program with Virginia Tech Veterinary Hospital.  In this program, he was matched up with a student who gave him his forever home.  Another success story for the books here at CUDDLY!

Baxter would have never been able to find a loving home without the help of the Pit Bull Second Chance Rescue.  Thank you to all the donors and supporters who made it possible for Baxter to have his eye surgery!  Here at CUDDLY, it is always wonderful to see humans coming together for the good of those who cannot help themselves. Thanks to you, Baxter is now able to live a happy, prosperous doggy life with his new human.
