Precious

One beautiful day turned into a nightmare for this family. They were enjoying a nice day on the creek until what they thought was a beaver on a sand island ended up being a dog who had nearly drowned. Precious was found with no mobility in her back legs which caused rescuers to believe that she was physically dumped there and left to die in the boiling sun. She was dehydrated, flea-infested, hungry, and trembling with terror. Precious had so many scars and wounds on her little legs from dragging them trying to find a way off the sand landing in the middle of nowhere.

 Little precious was so weak and confused when she was rescued. She had a terrible ear infection with flea nest and she needed laser, water therapy, and pain management treatments. It was initially a 50% chance of her being able to walk again. The vet could not find any reason for the paralysis from the X-rays and she got so many tests taken including MRI’s to try to figure out what was the cause of it. She wasn't able to move her legs at first but she did have some feeling left which was a great sign. 

 After getting a CT scan, it was discovered that the reason for her paralysis was a herniated spinal disc. Because it wasn't completely severed, she now had a 95% chance of walking again! After many treatments, therapy, and rehabilitation, this girl was a now walking miracle! All because of her CUDDLY supporters getting her treatments 100% funded AND sending her much-needed wishlist items! She went from being completely paralyzed in her backend to walking again and being adopted in less than 8 weeks. This was all possible because of you! She will remain in the same vet care and continue her IVDD recommended treatments.
