Blaze

Meet Blaze: A sweetheart who is all "love," and absolutely no 'fight.' NOTHING stops this baby's love for life-or his love for humans, for that matter. His tail continues to wag despite the terrible condition he is in and it just breaks our hearts - Blaze is truly remarkable!

This poor pup is the ultimate survivor – plain and simple. He has been overlooked, passed by, and ignored for FAR too long-by far too many. And sadly, all because of the obvious burns covering his ENTIRE body. When Blaze was discovered, it was clear that he has experienced something traumatic and could possibly be in an immense amount of pain. Entire patches of Blaze's fur and skin have been burned raw, everywhere from his face, ears, paws, and penis. Rescuers from Animal Hope Pet Adoptions Rescue were astonished by the extent of abuse this little dude had experienced in such a short time on earth, but what was more astonishing was his ability to forgive. Rescuers took him to the vet, where it was confirmed that he was indeed burned by the hands of a terrible, miserable human. They gave them a topical salve to put on his many burns and wrapped most of his wounds up in order to help them heal. Doctors told rescuers that he will probably bear scars for his trauma forever, but that didn’t make this gem of a pup any less cute! After months of cleaning his burns and wrapping his wounds to ensure he healed, it was finally starting to pay off. Sooner than later, his fur even started to come back in and all the while he was finally experiencing what it means to be a puppy. He learned how to play with toys, other dogs, and even got the hand of a few tricks, of course only if you have a treat in your hand though! As time keep creeping up, it was finally time to get this baby boy a home of his own. 

It wasn’t too long until he found an interested family. Rescuers at Animal Hope Pet Adoptions Rescue were happy with how kind and understanding the adopter was upon their first meeting and Blaze really seemed to have a good time playing with the man that came to meet him. It was truly love at first sight and they could tell the man inquiring found this adorable, charismatic dude as special as they did. Within a week, all the papers were signed and it was official— Blaze was ADOPTED!! Not only does he get a new family, but he even gets a big sister to run around and play with, which is exactly what he has always wanted! Rescuers were over the moon, as his story could have been completely different. There is truly nothing like making a difference in the life of an animal.
