Aria

"When rescuers opened up that message and saw the photo attached, their hearts just about shattered: It was Aria. Her face was the look of pure and total defeat, and it's clear, her little body is suffering and broken. Not only is her body damaged from diseases but her soul is broken from extreme neglect. This did not happen overnight; this poor dog has been suffering and is deserving and in much need of medical treatment.

To put it lightly.... this precious angel is – through NO fault of her own – a walking train wreck. One glance left rescuers speechless and horrified. Upon her rescue, Aria was practically hairless; the entirety of her body is crusty and hard – caked in pus, blood, and dead skin. She was riddled with fleas, which have now left her understandably swollen, itchy, and raw. She is suffering from sarcoptic and Demodex mange, and sadly, she's developed a secondary skin infection that takes even longer to treat. She's tested positive for just about every worm and parasite in the book. And unfortunately, the neglect was so severe and went on for so long, that her heart and lungs are already showing the adverse effect of the worms..."

It will take some talking through to convince you the pictures you see above are the same animal. Precious Aria seemed like a lost cause when found, she was devastatingly sick and had lost all hope in ever finding safety, let alone a home.

But! We are so excited to share that she is officially completely healed! She and her amazing rescuers put in hard work to make sure that this girl finally was able to overcome the mountain-sized obstacles that were in front of her, and they did it!

As we said, she is almost unrecognizable and her demeanor has drastically changed as well. She is now, officially ready for her forever home! She is up for adoption and what once felt like a horrible tragedy, is now being redeemed into a beautiful story of second chances.

Your generosity and kindness are what led her to this moment. We were able to raise all the funds we needed to treat this lovely lady and to set her up for success.
