"On the brink of starvation, Sterling was wandering the streets looking for food when something unimaginable caught her by surprise.

Sterling fell into a hole and became embedded with tar leaving her defenseless and unable to get out. Sterling's only hope was that someone somewhere would find her. Clinging to hope, Sterling was still starving and suffering until a miracle spotted her. She was transferred to a bin so rescuers could transport him to the hospital. The tar was so thick and troubling they had to cut her out of the bin to free her body. Sterling is currently seeking immediate care and will receive IV's and a full examination..."

The outpouring of love and support that this little one has experienced is almost unfathomable. You can see from the pictures that we had so many generous individuals who came alongside Sterling to make sure she received the second chance she so desperately needed was incredible to watch.

As you can see from the pictures, little Sterling looks like a brand new pup. She was nursed back to health by her amazing foster parents and you would never guess that she had been through such a horrible ordeal. Her skin is still healing, but you can barely tell that she has a few bald patches here and there.

In other amazing news, SHE HAS BEEN ADOPTED! She was able to go home with a family who just absolutely loves her and their daughter is her sure and forever best friend. This is the transformation we love to see here at MatchDog Rescue- we couldn’t be happier for Sterling or her new family!

We just want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who partnered with us to make sure that Sterling got here. We could not have done it without you and we are incredibly grateful and we know that Sterling is too! Thank you to CUDDLY for providing a platform to get her story out there so that we could give her much needed second chance.
