Peaches

When you look at sweet Peaches can you even tell she is a Boston Terrier? Sadly she doesn’t look it after being severely neglected and dumped near Benbrook Lake, Texas. This sweet girl found herself trying to fend for food and shelter, without any idea how to begin to do something like that. On the brink of exhaustion, she ran around a wilderness area looking for help. 

Eventually, she was discovered and rescuers at Animal Hope Pet Adoptions Rescue took her in hoping to figure out where this sweet girl’s life went wrong. Texas has a lot of cases of breeders mistreating sought-after breeds, much like the Boston Terrier, after breeding them in a scheme to make money. Often times criminals do not realize how demanding it is to breed properly, or don’t have the credentials to make a sale and dump the dogs after they are deemed “worthless”. Not only is little Peaches in terrible condition, but she is also suffering absolute rejection...

Look at this girl go!! The transformation you see before you are thanks to the incredible donors, supporters, and volunteers who worked around the clock to make sure she had all the care and love that she needed. After receiving the medical attention she so desperately needed, her fur began to grow back- she became stronger as she started to eat good and healthy food- and her personality began to flourish after she received the love that she had never been offered in her life.

After posting Peaches' story, we were able to raise 100% of the donations we needed to get her back in shape! This is incredible, and a huge help not to this sweet girl's well-being but to our rescue. It has been difficult times in the rescue business with the number of strays and medical needs that we have had, but it's times like this where we realize we aren't alone and we have an awesome community who will come around and support us during these times.

Again, we just want to say thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who donated because.... SWEET GIRL WAS ADOPTED! That's right, she had the happy ending that we all hope for in this business, where she was taken home by a good and loving family to spend the rest of her days being spoiled.
