Jake

When we first got ahold of Jake, he had just suffered a fall from a tremendous height in the Bronx and sustained serious injuries to all four of his legs. He was found crying on the sidewalk and brought to Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC), where the wonderful vets there assessed his injuries and determined he had two broken femurs and broken toes on his front paws. He was sent to a specialty hospital at VERG where he was hospitalized in an oxygen chamber in the ICU. It was then discovered that he had fluid in his lungs and was in heart failure.

Thankfully, he was able to receive treatment for his lung and heart complications. Once he was cleared, Jake underwent multiple surgeries over the course of months in order to correct the injuries to his legs and paws. This left him with casts on all four of his legs, but that didn't stop him from maintaining his playful disposition.

Jake remained a true fighter despite being in and out of the hospital to correct the damage done to his legs! We are so proud of everything he's accomplished in his time with us. BUT, the story doesn't stop there, Jake was ADOPTED! We are so excited to see this little guy receive all the love and attention he deserves! He has been placed with the most loving family and is ready to be spoiled beyond belief! 

We do want to take this time to tell you all how grateful we are for your generosity. With the help of CUDDLY and CUDDLY donors, Stuart Little was able to raise over $10,000 for his medical care and over 50 gifts to help in his recovery, which is AMAZING! Being a non-profit organization, it's donations like these that drive us and help make happy ever afters like Jakes possible.
