Winnie

Little Winnie was found splayed out on the side of the road after being struck and horribly injured by a high speeding vehicle. With a large, swollen tummy, multiple leg fractures, and hip trauma, this sweet girl could hardly move at all, causing a swarm of ants to crawl and bite her body, as she lie there wasting away. 

In a beautiful twist of fate, rescuers from Caitie’s Foster Fam Rescue spotted the wounded baby and quickly pulled over to scoop her up from what felt like her grave. Immediately rescuers noticed how gentle and filled with gratitude this lovely lady was while still being in a state of total distress. The rescuer picked her mangled body up off the side of the road and quickly got her to the closest emergency vet, as they had no idea how long she had been in this condition...

Look how spoiled this girl is! Woah, we were floored by the generosity and kindness of the people who donated to this precious girl and her campaign. She truly went from having no hope of survival to all of a sudden receiving more than her share of care and attention!

It was quite a journey for this sweet pup. She had complications along the way but pushed through because she knew that this pain and discomfort was only temporary. Now, after resting and spending weeks in recovery- she is now going on hikes, playing with other pups AND she has been adopted!!!

She now has a loving family and fur sibling that she loves with her whole heart! It's so crazy to think that just a few months ago she was laying on the side of the road with her body completely torn apart by the impact of the accident, to now hiking and playing with her new family!

We just want to say a HUGE thank you to all of our generous remote rescuers who made this happen!
