Franklin

After brutally colliding with a moving vehicle, this sweet six-month-old boy came to Soft Paws Rescue with two fractured hips and a broken leg.  But, despite the pain and misery Franklin was in, he had so much fight in him with so much life to live, so rescuers were eager to give him just that.

Leg surgery was definitely needed to bring this boy on the road to recovery.  We wanted more than anything to get Franklin to good health to finally head to his new forever home with one of our CUDDLY team members!  You read that right!  Surprise...Franklin is being adopted by a CUDDLY Fundraising Consultant who fell in love with him when she saw him.  She drove to Santa Rosa to pick him up, and they have been having a fantastic time ever since.  Franklin was neutered and also had surgery performed on his back left leg.  Initially, the vet was unsure if they were going to be able to save his leg, but upon further examination, he was in the clear, and the surgery was minor.  Now, Franklin lives out his days by the beach and enjoys being an only child but loves to play and learn how to be a dog from his doggy friends.  Emily (his forever home) and her new best friend, Franklin, cannot wait for the future together! 

Thanks to CUDDLY and all of our incredible supporters, Franklin raised funds needed for his treatment!  We couldn’t believe it.  We are continuously blown out of the water by the fantastic remote rescuers who give so generously to these animals so that they can live long and whole lives!  Thank you to CUDDLY (and Emily) for allowing us to get his story out there, resulting in his full recovery!
