HERCULES

For this gentle boy, to say life has not come easy would be an understatement. To say that he's simply been 'abandoned' or 'neglected' would be a lie. This is an animal that has silently suffered through a lifetime of abuse, likely inflicted at the hands of people who knew – or should have known – better. 

There is absolutely NO reason as to why any soul would be allowed to get to this condition.—Or anywhere close to this condition, for that matter. Hercules didn't ask to be left bloodied and beat down, curled up on an abandoned car seat; nor did he deserve to be. But sadly, he was. And now, he’s having to carry the burden - and insurmountable pain - of those cruel humans who decided to treat him this way...

From being used and abused to being loved and cherished. We can't lie, the road to recovery for this poor boy has been long and hard, but absolutely worth it. What you see in front of you is a changed dog! We didn't know what the outcome would be for this boy who had been trained to viciously attack, and BE attacked but we are so happy to say that he is doing SO well.

Hercules had to undergo quite a few surgeries to repair some of the damage that had been done. The more we learned about the scars and wounds on his body, the more we understood the pain and suffering that he had been through. Despite his horrible past, it is as if this boy knows that he is finally safe. We have loved watching his sweet, kind and loving nature come out! Even though being trained to be a fighting dog, it was as if he couldn't wait to be able to love again!

We cannot begin to thank you enough for helping us raise over $13,500 for this sweet boy! You all came out and SHOWED out with your generosity. We were so floored and so incredibly grateful for the amount of support that Hercules received through his campaign, he was absolutely spoiled by the gifts and was able to receive all necessary treatments to get him back on his feet, and back wagging his tail!
