Jean

With her last ounce of strength, Brenna Jean wandered up to a home in rural Texas hoping for a miracle.  The kind family she met there, luckily, recognized how dire her condition was and sought help.  

Brenna is emaciated— starved within an inch of her life.  She is covered in oozing, festering abscesses, the worst being around her neck, which suggests she had been chained up for a long time without access to food.  She is so very weak but grateful for the love and a kind hand...

We wish we could say that once she left the vet's care, it was smooth sailing for little Jean, but unfortunately, it was not. She was doing well for a couple of weeks when out of nowhere she stopped eating and became extremely lethargic. 

She was already skin and bones so it was alarming that she began to turn away from her food. We put her back into the hospital to be monitored, and thankfully after receiving fluids and medications, she pulled through and was able to come home- good as new! 

After making a full recovery in our care, we are SO happy to inform you all that though this precious soul has seen the worst that life has to offer, now her pushing through and her fighting for her life and happiness have paid off as she has been ADOPTED! 

This is why we do what we do, to see lives and hope restored as these pups go from having nothing, to getting everything that they ever dreamed of!
