Bailee

We first met Bailee after receiving a call from a family about a very sick dog in Nassau that needed help. When we arrived, she was lying flat like a corpse, covered in flies, starved, and chained…she could not run, even if she wanted…

This baby girl was extremely sick- she was heartworm positive, had pus coming nonstop from her genitals, and had the most horrible explosive diarrhea. With her critical condition, we weren’t sure what the future had in store for her! Shortly after taking her to the vet,  they called to inform us that she had pyometra and needed emergency surgery to save her life.

After a successful surgery, Bailee was released back into our care where we worked tirelessly to ensure her wellbeing…she was even able to spend her first Christmas inside, cozied up on a nice warm bed! And although we have hit a few rough patches since her initial procedure, she continued to remain a fighter through it all! 

In 3 months at our rescue, you would not believe the transformation of this starving girl, brought from death’s door rotting inside with pyometra and venereal. She has put on the perfect weight and all the treatments and surgery helped her tremendously. And now… her dream of finding a forever home is about to come true as she is on her way to the United States! We can’t wait to see all the adventures this precious pup has as she heads toward a new life!
