Alais

"Alais was shot in the face cold-bloodedly and with no remorse. A mother left to die alongside her babies.

Alais continued to fend for her two little ones, putting their needs above her own. Only days later was she spotted roaming the streets, her face still dripping with blood, creating a trail behind her.

The Good Samaritan spotted her and decided to take action. Scared this innocent soul would be targeted again, she hid Alais and her puppies on her roof and contacted us."...

We couldn't. believe the story when this family came into our care. We don't understand how people can be so cruel and so heartless towards innocent animals. The level of evil it takes to shoot a mother in front of her puppies is just unimaginable.

We were able to take them all in, and we got right to work on caring for Alais. She ended up having her surgery and it went extremely well, for her recovery we put her in a crate right next to her babies- we believe this made all the difference for her. It took some time but she began walking and playing and before we knew it she was making a full recovery!

This is one resilient momma that KNEW her babies were depending on her, so she fought hard to recover from this horrible event. Your generosity and kindness allowed her to get the care she needed so that she could get back to life with her kiddos. Your donations raised over half of the amount we needed for her care, and we couldn't be more thankful.
