Willow

"We would like to formally introduce you to Willow - a warrior in her own right. While not much is known about her history, her gut-wrenching X-rays portray a pretty clear picture of what her life looked like before someone heartlessly dumped her at the vet’s office requesting one thing, and one thing only - euthanasia. 

All it took was one glance into Willow’s helpless eyes for the vet staff to urgently reach out to Boomer’s Buddies Rescue pleading to help save this sweet girl’s life. Besides missing parts of her back legs, Willow was perfectly healthy, and did we mention she is only six months old?! So, of course, and without an ounce of hesitation, rescuers raced to the vet’s office and welcomed Willow into their care with open arms."...

It is cases like this that make you wish that animals could talk. How did she get this bad? What did she experience in her 6 months of life that led her to this moment? Unfortunately, these are questions that we will never have answered, and that breaks our hearts. Though we didn't have answers, that didn't stop us from giving all that we had to this poor girl.

The recovery process was not easy for Willow. She had quite a few complications, including infection and a ton of pain. But no matter what was thrown her way, she persisted. She fought to feel better and to heal, and slowly but surely she did just that.

We have had an overwhelming amount of support for Willow. The donations and the gifts she has received have meant the world to her. Each gift is reshaping her view on life, and on people. We cannot begin to thank you enough for what you all have done for her.
