Rufus

Drenched from the rain and shivering from the cold, Rufus was found abandoned and covered in razor burn after being shaved down to his skin. But sadly, his trauma didn’t end there as he was also in agonizing pain from a dislocated hip that needed immediate care.

Senior Schnauzer mix Rufus was abandoned outside of an animal boarding facility on a cold and rainy day. He had been shaved down practically to his skin and was covered in razor burn. Our hearts were broken thinking of this sweet old man dragging his injured leg behind him, begging for help from anyone he could find. And, by the time he was found, he was drenched and shivering uncontrollably, making his cries of anguish impossible to ignore. 

Knowing the immense suffering this sweet senior had already endured, we knew we had to do everything we could to give him the golden years he’s earned. Once in care, Rufus quickly underwent surgery for his hip and started on his road to recovery, which included lots of rest and rehabilitation! With a long way to go, Rufus dove right into his physical therapy, and despite his aging body, he took it like the champion he is! 

And…sure enough, Rufus was a brand new pup! His hard work and determination to live the life he’s always dreamed of, paid off! With his body back on track, the next step in his journey was finding a forever home! Thankfully, it only took one look at this handsome senior to see the love in his eyes, which immediately drew in a loving family! 

That said…we are SO excited to share the INCREDIBLE news that Rufus has found a family to give him the love he has always been worthy of!
