Charlie

In the crisp air of fall, a faint whimper echoed amidst the debris of a garbage dump. That sound led us to Charlie, a resilient soul battling against the odds.

When we found Charlie, he was a picture of despair. His once vibrant spirit was overshadowed by a cruel cocktail of ailments – a harrowing skin infection, malnutrition gnawing at his weakened body, and a persistent cough that spoke volumes of his battles. Clouded by cataracts, his eyes held a silent plea for a second chance. 

Through unwavering dedication, compassionate care, and the magic of love, Charlie slowly but surely was on the road to recovery. The resilience that saw him through the darkest days still shines bright. His once-tattered coat is now a testament to healing, and his cough is fading into echoes of the past.

At his age, he battles arthritis— a constant reminder of his hardships— but his spirit remains unbroken. He may sleep a lot, seeking solace in the quiet moments, but his intelligence and gentle nature speak volumes about the incredible companion he can be.

After a rough start and months of dedicated care spanning January to March, during which Charlie was listless and too weak to interact with anyone, his severe skin infection began to clear up once we were able to get him started on medication and nutritious food—a far cry from the pebbles and garbage he was forced to eat to stay alive in his past. 

Thanks to your support, his stubborn health issues (and crankiness) have resolved, and his fur has fully grown back! We are BEYOND thankful to this community for pulling a pup out of the grave.

He now loves playing with others, getting CUDDLY treats, and sleeping with his CUDDLY blanket and toy. Thank you for supporting Charlie! He survived a tough life in the garbage dump and is now thriving. Here’s to Charlie!
