Most people don't realize what happens inside our walls, and recently we needed our community to join the fight. Officers respond to injured animals in the middle of the night. They handle the loss of a family pet with care while a grieving household is still finding out. Orphaned newborns are hand-fed around the clock, cruelty cases are documented and taken to court, and the work continues the next day no matter how heavy the night before was. Every day means cleaning kennels, giving medications, reuniting lost pets with their families, and carrying scared animals to safety.

Eventually, the need became more than our budget could carry. Not because of poor choices, but because the need never really stops. So we shared the honest truth about what our work looks like, hoping our community would understand.

They did more than understand. They showed up. Donations, shares, and kind words poured in, and that support meant clean kennels, consistent medical care, and full supply shelves for every animal who came through our doors. Now we can keep supporting the community and give these animals the home they desperately need and deserve.
