Misfit Paws Rescue

Not long ago, our rescue faced one of the most urgent challenges we've ever encountered. But thanks to our community's support through CUDDLY, our cats don't have to go hungry. We were down to just one bag of adult cat food and one bag of kitten chow, with hundreds of cats depending on us for their next meal. Every week, we feed feral community cats, rescued adults recovering in foster care, and vulnerable kittens too young to survive on their own, going through 100 pounds of dry food, plus 50 pounds each for our adult cats and kittens. We reached a point we never wanted to encounter: our supply had run dry.

Rising food costs had already pushed us to spend more than $400 every month just to keep bowls full, and when our shelves emptied out completely, we knew we couldn't fill that gap alone. The cats waiting at their feeding stations, the kittens growing in our care, none of them knew how close we were to running out. They trusted that someone would be there, and we were determined not to break that trust.

We reached out to our community for help, hoping to secure enough food and funding to keep every cat fed for the coming months. And our community answered in a way that left us speechless. Donations of food and supplies poured in, filling our shelves back up and then some.

Thanks to your support through CUDDLY, not a single cat in our care went hungry. Thank you to every donor who answered the call and made sure our feral cats, our recovering adults, and our growing kittens all had exactly what they needed, when they needed it most.
