In the midst of a raging storm, a heart-wrenching discovery was made at a remote beach campsite. Lola, a gentle and loving mother dog, was found with her precious litter of puppies, barely surviving against the elements. Their fragile bodies bore the marks of neglect and illness, a sight that moved our hearts deeply.

Lola, malnourished and in dire need of medical attention, bravely shielded her puppies from the harsh weather, but sadly, signs of severe illness haunted the innocent pups. Shivers wracked their tiny frames, and their distress was evident through relentless vomiting and diarrhea. It was a fight against time and fate.

Despite our best efforts, three of Lola's beloved puppies succumbed to the merciless grip of distemper, leaving a void in our hearts. But the battle wasn't over for the remaining ones. Day by day, they fought alongside their resilient mother, receiving daily immunity boosters and round-the-clock care.

We held our breath, watching these survivors closely, praying for a miracle during the silent latency period. Lola and her puppies were kept in quarantine, receiving the specialized attention and love they desperately needed. When their strength began to return, they were given the life-saving vaccinations that could be their ticket to a brighter future.

Eventually, Lola (a classic Brittany Spaniel) was adopted into a loving home when her babies were finally weaned off of her support and were okay to be taken care of fully by us at eight months old. Her four remaining pups were well cared for in our care and her absence. We kept them all updated on their vaccines and ensured that they were spayed and neutered when the time came. 

They spent their days cuddling and playing without a care in the world. Then, the two boys found their forever home, leaving only the sisters to go! They hope to remain together forever in some loving family’s warm embrace. They have been through so much, but now the world is this duo’s oyster, and we couldn’t be happier to see them smile.
