Ladybug has endured a level of trauma that no words can ever fully encompass. Her body was cruelly violated by a grotesque human who stole her innocence. Sexually assaulted, she wondered what she could have done to deserve such pain. The answer is clear—absolutely nothing, yet this vile being brutalized her repeatedly. 

It sickens us to think that anyone could commit such a horrendous act against Ladybug. This sweet girl's mind, body, and heart have been severely affected. Her body bears the scars of the horrific attack, while her mind battles the trauma left behind. After the assault, she wandered the streets, her tired body ready to give up on the world, and who could blame her? Finally, Ladybug was picked up by animal control and taken to the local shelter. 

The vets at the shelter uncovered the truth behind her injuries. They couldn't believe their eyes as they performed a thorough examination, finding immediate signs of severe sexual abuse. It was discovered that she had an extremely swollen vulva with bloody discharge, and she showed signs of severe trauma in her private area. It was clear what had happened to her, and everyone in the room's heart shattered knowing what she had endured. Immediately, a plea went out to rescues, and we answered the call the moment we saw it. We couldn't leave this girl in the shelter any longer—she was coming home with us. 

Unfortunately, because Ladybug was picked up as a stray, no police reports were filed, so we can't be sure which sick individual did this to her. But we know it happened. We can see it from her medical examination and the sorrow that filled her eyes. 

Soon after, precious Ladybug began to showcase incredible progress, determined to restore her life. We are so blessed to have been able to welcome her into our rescue and provide her with the help she so desperately needed. Despite the absolute horrific trauma she endured at the hands of humans, she was as sweet as ever and seemed to know that she was finally safe. 

We are so thankful for her amazing doctors who provided her with the best care.  We can’t forget to thank all of the amazing people who donated to help us cover her costs of care, which greatly supported us. 

We're overjoyed to share that Ladybug is now pending adoption! Her adopter is actually related to her foster moms, ensuring she'll always be surrounded by love and care. Ladybug will have a brother who already adores her and a mom who is incredibly sweet and devoted to her!
