Once heartlessly discarded and crying extreme pain, Chibi’s story symbolizes one of grand compassion and love. After having been cruelly thrown away like garbage, hanging on the brink of death, she is now gaining healthy weight and enjoying her happy puppy life, thanks to YOU!

Chibi's ordeal began in the inhospitable back alleys of the Republic of Georgia, where she was found in a dumpster, shivering and deeply emaciated. Her once lustrous coat was marred by deep gashes and her vision was impaired by untreated cataracts. Limping from an unknown injury with a painfully bloated belly, every step hinted at a past marred by pain and distress.

Her rescue by the Geo Dog Refuge marked the beginning of a long and extensive journey to recovery. The veterinary staff swiftly tended to her wounds and provided the nourishment she so desperately needed. She was so weak that every step caused her pain, resulting in her limping. We soon realized that Chibi was pregnant, which added an additional layer of urgency to her care.

As weeks turned into months, we began to see progress in this sweet girl’s recovery journey. Chibi's nutrition improved significantly, leading to her slowly but steadily gaining weight. Special eye ointments and supplements were administered to address her cataracts, greatly improving her vision. We also created safe, isolated spaces for her so she could be spared by the playful, larger dogs.

Because of our persistent efforts and gracious CUDDLY donors who extended helping hands, Chibi's transformation has been nothing short of miraculous. Her vision, though not fully restored, has improved enough so that she can navigate her surroundings with greater confidence and less discomfort. Her joyful personality shines through, and she approaches each day happy and hopeful! We are so glad that we found this innocent baby when we did and are ecstatic that we had enough support to nurse her back to health!
