Joey was found in a black plastic bag in Mui Ne, Vietnam, suffering from heat exhaustion and severe parasite infestation. His story was once filled with pain, but he has since been rescued, healed, and ADOPTED. Read on to learn how love and care transformed this sweet boy’s life.

Joey's story is one that truly tugs at our heartstrings. Found on the scorching streets of Mui Ne, Vietnam, he was left abandoned in a black plastic bag in front of a garbage bin. He was overheated, lethargic, and heavily infested with worms, ticks (over 500!), and fleas. Joey needed immediate care, and thanks to the love and dedication of rescuers, his transformation began.

Rescued by compassionate tourists, Joey found safety and care at the Laws For Paws Vietnam shelter. The veterinary team SPRANG into action, determined to do whatever possible to nurse this sweet boy back to full health. Joey's blooming personality quickly emerged with every passing day. He captivated everyone around him with his resilience and sweet nature. It’s no surprise that this wonderful boy soon found his forever family.

After some time spent healing and recovering, Joey has been adopted by a wonderful family who are long-time animal lovers. Now living his happiest life in Vung Tau, Joey spends his days riding in a basket on the bicycle down to the beach for sunrise and sunset walks. This caring family decided to adopt Joey for their father, who was struggling with the loss of his previous dogs due to old age. Joey has not only been given a loving home, but he has also helped heal a broken heart and brings joy to his new family every day.
