The start of Chibb’s journey may have been filled with hardship, but thanks to the gracious support of CUDDLY donors, his life is now filled with hope and transformation! This sweet dachshund, once found emaciated and suffering in a neglectful household, has made a remarkable comeback and has even found his forever, loving home! When Chibbs was first rescued, the situation he had been in was just absolutely heartbreaking. He and several other dachshunds were discovered in a home where neglect was so severe that it led to the owners being JJAILED. The owners had even neglected their own children, putting COUNTLESS lives at risk.

Sweet Chibbs was in rough shape—starved, weak, and barely hanging on. He was practically skin and bones, his ribs jutting sharply from his fragile body. But even in those early moments, there was a glimmer of hope in his kind eyes. Our rescue graciously stepped in to help this sweet boy as he fought through this troubling time. He was immediately given a thorough vet check and placed on a special diet to help him gain weight without overwhelming his system. And it wasn’t long before the diet started to work its magic, and Chibbs began to regain his strength!

Chibbs was moved to a medical foster home in Cincinnati that would provide him with the best possible care. There, he received round-the-clock attention from experienced caregivers who made sure he had everything he needed to continue his recovery. Every small milestone was a cause for celebration—from the first time he wagged his tail to the day he finally started to fill out his once frail frame.

Week by week, Chibbs made incredible progress. The once emaciated, weak dog was now full of life and energy, showing off the resilient spirit that had always been there, just waiting for a chance to shine. His transformation was nothing short of miraculous, and it was all thanks to the love and care he received from people like YOU!

In a beautiful turn of events, Chibbs got ADOPTED and is currently living his best life in a home that will shower him with endless affection.
