Our Blanket Drive

On one overwhelming weekend, our shelter welcomed 163 dogs and puppies, and 71 cats and kittens. In total, we were responsible for the care of over 440 dogs and 100 cats, and while resources were stretched thin, we knew that each animal deserved a chance at a brighter future.

When these precious lives arrived, most were scared, anxious, and confused, but we greeted them with open arms and hearts, determined to turn their lives around. The very first step in their rehabilitation was simple yet powerful: providing each of them with a warm, soft blanket.

We quickly made a CUDDLY campaign, holding onto the hope that our community would step forward and donate cozy blankets to help soothe these frightened, innocent lives. And we are simply blown away by the kindness we received! We asked, and you delivered!!

For these helpless animals, the donated blankets became their first touch of comfort in what may have been the only kind gesture they had ever experienced. Each blanket brought a sense of security, wrapping them in warmth so that they knew they were now safe in our care. It’s incredible how something as small as a blanket can ease their anxieties and let them feel at home.
