Red

Once viciously abused by his own siblings, this poor boy was brought to our rescue with gruesome injuries. The moment he was in our care, we did everything possible to ensure he recovered from this tragic ordeal, and to our amazement, he healed so well. He has since transformed into a beautiful, joyful pup and eventually found his forever home. Read on to learn more!

Red's story began in a bleak environment, where being brutally attacked and carelessly ignored was his daily reality. When we first found him trembling within the cage that was his own skin, our hearts just shattered for him. He was covered in vicious wounds that were rampant with infection, his face was severely battered, and his body was caked with dried blood and pus. He had never once received care, and clearly, no one minded the fact that he was being beaten over and over again. In fact, his owners may have even encouraged this level of cruelty—who knows? What we did know, then and there, was that it was our duty to save him.

Once in our loving care, immediate steps were taken to alleviate this gentle boy’s pain. Vets worked tirelessly, cleaning Red’s wounds and administering much-needed antibiotics and pain medication. This medical attention marked the beginning of his healing journey. Slowly but surely, over the period of just a few days, Red responded positively to treatment. Just a week and a half later, remarkable changes were noted. And amazingly, despite everything he had been through, Red was such a loving pup who never once seemed aggressive or posed a threat to our team. All he wanted was a comforting place to call home.

Throughout the course of his recovery journey, our team showered Red with continuous support, ensuring he had a nurturing environment where he felt safe and loved. Once the CUDDLY donations flooded in, we leaped for joy, truly so grateful for all of this loving support we had received for his care thus far. As Red’s health improved, he began to showcase his loving personality even more vividly, endearing himself to everyone. His love for belly rubs became a signature expression, and he sought love and affection for everyone around him. In due time, Red was placed in a foster home, where he patiently awaited his forever home.

Fortunately, Red didn’t have to wait long!  Just two months later, a kind family fell in love with him and adopted this sweet boy,  promising to keep him safe and happy.  Red will never again be subjected to such ruthless abuse and, instead, will reside joyfully in his new cozy, enriching environment.
