Alba & Rambo

These two pups, Alba and Rambo, were found abandoned, forgotten, and sick. Since then, their lives have been saved and made new. We are elated to now share that, after a successful transport and weeks of nurturing care, they have both been lovingly adopted!

Alba and Rambo’s story begins on the rough streets of Albania. They were not given easy starts—not in the slightest. Rambo was discovered alongside five other puppies: Brando, Kami, Bianca, Neve, and Orea. (Remember Orea? We wrote a success story about her, too!) Their fragile whimpers guided us to them, and after what felt like searching for a needle in a haystack, we stumbled upon their tiny, trembling bodies. 

Hurriedly, we scooped them up and brought them to the safety of our rescue. We fed them nutritious milk and puppy food, bathed them, and checked for any underlying issues. Straight away, we provided them with the care they desperately needed. It pains us to know that they had been abandoned, left behind, like their lives didn’t matter. But they did matter, each and every one, and we were going to prove that to them.

Soon after this heartbreaking discovery, we found Alba, as well as three adult dogs, Cookie, Cacao, and Nanna. Alba, sadly, was in critical condition—she was found curled up in a withered cardboard box, her body ice-cold to the touch. She was rushed to the emergency animal hospital for urgent, life-saving care. Miraculously, she pushed through, proving to be a resilient fighter.

Once they were all well, we set out to transport all nine dogs to Italy, where they would be given a better chance at a new life. We uploaded a campaign on CUDDLY in hopes that we would raise enough funds to make such an ambitious dream possible. Thanks to your kindness, the donations poured in, and we were able to load up these pups and set out on our way! 

Upon arrival in Northern Italy, Alba, Rambo, and the others were placed in loving foster homes, where they were showered with endless comfort and love. In no time at all, they were all ready to find their forever homes!

We are THRILLED to share that Alba and Rambo were lovingly adopted and are now enjoying their beautiful lives in the gorgeous scenery of Northern Italy. News like this gives us the strength to keep going, to rescue, to heal, and to give more animals a chance at life. We are just so, so happy for these two sweethearts!
