Little Fabio overcame all of the odds and is finally in his forever home! After months of brutal recovery, Fabio made monumental strides towards recovery and is now fully healed. Now that this boy has finally gotten his chance at forever, all thanks to your generous support, let’s take a moment to dive into how he got to where he is today! 

Only months before Fabio met his forever family, this puppy was viciously attacked by another dog when he was only two months old. Bloodied and terrified, Fabio was tossed into a box and ignored by his humans. We can’t begin to imagine how scared this poor puppy must have felt. 

We caught wind of the situation and immediately sprang into action. The area that this boy was in was a dangerous one, so we had to be extra cautious for both the safety of our team, and for the safety of the life we were trying to save. We were put in contact with Fabio’s owners, and after hours of pleading with them to surrender their puppy into our care, he was tossed at our doorstep. Then, it was pedal to the metal all the way to the hospital. 

Once at the hospital, doctors immediately started treating Fabio. This boy looked like he had been through a war, completely and utterly defeated. Fabio was littered with severe wounds, and doctors were quick to tend to his injuries. It was clear that if we hadn’t gotten to Fabio when we did, this baby would have died alone and afraid. Doctors worked around the clock to treat his wounds and start antibiotics to fight his infections. We knew that the fight for Fabio’s life would be long and hard, but we knew we were headed in the right direction when his tail began to wag again.

Fast forward to the month of March, and Fabio was finally on the road to recovery. Slowly but surely, his wounds were healing, and his high levels of anemia and infection were beginning to decrease. There was a light at the end of this very long tunnel, and we were so close to getting Fabio to the other side!

Only a few short weeks later, Fabio was healed and ready to find his family. This boy’s crowning moment came when an amazing couple fell in love with Fabio and his story and chose to adopt him. After everything this puppy has endured, Fabio finally gets to experience what true love, devotion, and safety feel like. He gets to play, explore, and grow surrounded by true care and affection.
