Honey

We are thrilled to share that sweet Honey has been adopted! Today, we celebrate Honey’s incredible transformation. After this girl defied the odds, she finally found the loving home she truly deserved! All thanks to you. 

Honey was brought to Miami-Dade Animal Services in heartbreaking condition. Honey arrived unable to walk, with signs of severe abuse and trauma. X-rays revealed her body was filled with small metal fragments, especially in her paws. This girl had been shot not once, but twice, by a heartless human, leaving her with severe infections and necrotic tissue. 

Even more heartbreaking, Honey’s puppies were taken from her before she arrived. The emotional toll of being separated from her babies is something we can’t begin to measure. Despite all she endured, Honey remained sweet and gentle, resting in the care of a compassionate medical team. 

Over the course of several months, Honey underwent countless surgeries to remove shattered bone fragments, pellets, and necrotic tissue. In the process, Honey lost two toes and a paw pad, but after weeks of gruelling physical therapy, daily bandage changes, betadine soaks, and endless vet visits, we began to see a light at the end of the tunnel. Slowly but surely, Honey’s tissue began to heal, and it seemed like this girl was getting back on her feet…literally!  After being in a cast to heal her fractures, Honey took her first steps. They may have been small, but Honey’s recovery journey was certainly a marathon, not a sprint, and she was making monumental strides towards healing!

Through it all, Honey was described as a “happy girl” by her surgeons and dedicated vet team. Some cruel human may have left Honey with broken bones that fateful day, but they didn’t break her golden and loving spirit. Finally, Honey was healed, and it was time to find her forever home. 

Fast-forward a few months, and sweet Honey was adopted by a loving young couple. Honey’s journey is nothing short of remarkable. This girl survived the unsurvivable and came out the other side stronger and with an incredibly bright future ahead of her. This success wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the amazing people who donated to Honey’s treatment, bought items from her wish list, and sent endless encouraging messages. 

We are overjoyed to see Honey begin her new life, and we can’t thank you enough for being a part of her story. Your support has made all the difference in her journey. We are deeply grateful to everyone at CUDDLY who played a role in Honey’s recovery. We can’t wait to see what this new chapter has in store for this precious pup.
