Flo
Flo is home. Adopted, adored, and absolutely thriving, she now reigns as the queen of snack time in her new house, beating all five of her fur siblings to any crumb that hits the floor. Her days are filled with love, play, and celebration, including a peach-themed first birthday party thrown by her devoted mom, Amanda. Flo’s transformation is nothing short of miraculous, and it’s all thanks to you.
When Flo (formerly known as Hasard) was first found by the Fort Worth Shelter, she was barely clinging to life. Weighing only 10 pounds and given the lowest possible body score of 1, she was in critical condition. Her eyes were sunken, her body frail, and every breath seemed to be a struggle. Still, there was something in her gaze that told us she hadn’t given up. We didn’t hesitate. We brought her into rescue immediately and rushed her to the emergency vet, not knowing if she would survive the night.
But Flo had other plans. With intensive medical care, a steady flow of nutrients, and constant affection from her foster team, she began to fight her way back. It was slow and painstaking, but day by day, she rebuilt her strength. Her anemia began to resolve. Her eyes brightened. Her body filled out. By the time she left for her forever home, she had doubled her weight to 20 pounds and discovered her love for food, people, and cuddling close.
Today, Flo is unrecognizable from the starving little dog we first met. She’s healthy, joyful, and spoiled in the best way. And none of this would have been possible without you and this amazing CUDDLY community. You showed up for her when she had no one else and believed in her when all hope seemed lost. And because of that, Flo now knows exactly what it means to be safe, cherished, and home. Thank you for being the heartbeat behind her rescue story. Thank you for giving Flo her chance.
