Shep

We could not be happier for Shep. He is finally home, surrounded by love, and it’s all thanks to you. You made this possible—you not only saved Shep’s life, but gave him a family.

The beginning of Shep’s story is dense with heartbreak. His family abandoned him, casting him onto the streets like garbage. As they sped off, he trailed behind their car, swerving through the streets to keep up. Then, even more tragedy struck—he was hit by a car. His family didn’t once glance back, leaving him to suffer alone. 

Shep lay on the roadside, helpless and in agony. With nowhere else to go, and no one to help him, our rescue stepped up to take him in. The sight of him had us stifling back sobs—his pain, both emotional and physical, was difficult to imagine. We scooped up his battered body, limp in our arms, and rushed him back to our rescue. 

Shep’s life was nearly claimed when that car plowed into his body. But it wasn’t. He was still here, still with us, and most importantly, still fighting. We stood by him every step of the way, carefully guiding him through the painstaking healing process. Through constant care, pain relief, and healthy food, Shep made remarkable strides. Every day, he got a little bit better.

Then, the beautiful day came when a flight to the UK was made available. His second chapter was right around the corner. We continued sharing Shep’s story and, in a gorgeous act of compassion, our CUDDLY community rallied around him. Thanks to YOUR donations, Shep embarked on his freedom flight and began his beautiful new life. As we write this, he is there now, soaking up the sun and endless affection. 

This sweet boy finally has the chance to feel safe, warm, and forever loved. He is learning what it means to truly be a part of a family. A family that will never leave him behind. Thank you, so much, for showing up for him in his time of need and making his happy ending come true.
