Apologies for shouting, but THANK YOU! Because of your generosity, Moose made a full recovery. At long last, he is free from pain and soaking up his beautiful new future. His recovery took a grueling three months. Twelve weeks of hard work from everyone involved, especially Moose. However, that is all in the past now. Let’s take a look at how Moose got to where he is today—joyful, adventurous, and ready for what’s to come.

Moose was run over by a car and left to die. He was found lying in a field with agonizing fractures in both legs, his bones exposed. He couldn’t move an inch without screaming. We bundled him up in warm blankets and gently carried him back to our rescue. We didn’t know what was in store—his breaks were so severe. But we were committed to giving him healing, regardless of what that may take.

Once we arrived, our team administered antibiotics, IV fluids, and pain relief in an attempt to stabilize poor Moose. The next step was surgery to mend his fractured, exposed bones. Though we couldn’t proceed right away—we had to raise enough funds to make it happen. That’s where we turned to you, holding onto hope that our loyal CUDDLY community would come through. And my goodness, did you do just that!

When the donations flooded in, surpassing 50% of our initial goal, we were able to move forward with Moose’s procedure. Afterward, his recovery went on. He continued the antibiotics, and temporary bandages were placed over the area where the wounds once were. These bandages were changed regularly, allowing his legs to breathe. Moose quickly began to feel better and experienced clear bursts of energy.

The donations continued to trickle in. By the end of Moose’s recovery, we had raised about 93% of our fundraising goal. We almost couldn’t believe it… Thank you so much for being so kind. As for Moose, he healed marvelously well. No infection started, thanks to the antibiotics. And nourishing ointments and creams were added to his daily regimen to provide relief.

Three months later, Moose was fully healed. He was able to run around and play, entirely free from pain. We could hardly recognize him as the sickly, broken boy we rescued weeks earlier. Moose was now a happy and healthy boy, loving every moment of his life.

We couldn’t have done this without you. Our entire team, and Moose, are so grateful. Thank you for helping us thoughtfully change lives, and for being a driving force for good.
