Lamb Chop

When Lamb Chop was found roaming the streets alone, it was hard to imagine he would ever be healed, let alone go on to find his forever family. But we are thrilled to share that this brave boy found his home, and it’s all because of the CUDDLY community!

Lamb Chop was unrecognizable when he was discovered on the streets, his raw and inflamed skin crusted over with agonizing scabs. Infection and searing mange riddled his body, making every step a difficult feat. After Animal Control got him off the roads, we quickly swooped in to rescue him, knowing he needed much more hands-on care than the municipal shelter could handle. The SECOND we reached for him, his tail began to wag, and he nuzzled into our touch, despite his pain. This poor boy was desperate for attention. We gently stroked his scaly body as we rushed him to our trusted veterinarian.

Ravaged by mange, we couldn’t wait for treatment a second longer. We started Lamb Chop on antibiotics and medicated baths, and slowly but surely, he began to make progress. Until we hit yet another speed bump when he developed an upper respiratory infection. This poor pup couldn’t catch a break. Despite his setbacks, we knew there was a bright light at the end of this very long tunnel, and Lamb Chop was almost there.

After several grueling weeks, we began to see hair follicles where crusted scabs used to be. The hair on his head, feet, and belly started to return, and his transformation was nothing short of incredible. Our already handsome boy became even more beautiful, and we knew his forever family would think so too.

Fast forward a few more weeks, and Lamb Chop finally met his match! His new adopters saw right past his scars and instead saw the beautiful, brave soul inside, and fell head over heels! From a sick, forgotten shelter dog to a cherished member of a family, Lambchop found his forever, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. None of this could have been possible without your unwavering support.

Because of you, Lamb Chop got his second chance. You didn’t give up on this sweet boy—you stayed with him and us every step of the way, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
