Desiree And Darlene

We have some great news… Desiree and Darlene have officially been adopted! But before we bring out the confetti, we wanted to take a moment to look back at just how far they’ve come.

When our team first heard about Desiree and Darlene, they had been surrendered to a local shelter by the only family they’d ever known. Their condition was heartbreaking. These pups were emaciated, covered in skin-tugging mats, and soaked in urine and feces. At just a year and a half old, they were scheduled for euthanasia—but our team refused to see such sweet souls go so soon. We stepped in just in time to save them from an early end and brought them to the safety of our rescue.

Thanks to the support of our wonderful CUDDLY community, these fragile souls received the nutritious food and essential care they had been denied for so long. Desiree and Darlene regained their strength little by little as we fed them small meals, careful not to feed them too quickly after months of malnourishment.

We knew that Desiree and Darlene deserved more than just a chance at survival. They deserved an opportunity to really live. And, likely for the first time ever, they got to experience just that. These sweethearts had spa days at the groomer, embraced their foster kitty sibling, and settled into their temporary home, eager for the day they would find their forever family…

And today, we are thrilled to announce that they did it! Desiree and Darlene have each been adopted by loving families who will give them the care, comfort, and happiness they’ve always deserved. This success is all thanks to you—our strong, animal-loving community. Your selfless contributions gave us the aid we so desperately needed when we needed it most. We can’t thank you enough.

Now, Desiree and Darlene have the second chance they never knew was possible. We can’t wait to watch their new lives unfold. Welcome home, precious pups!
