Bodhi
Remember Bodhi Bumble, the puppy with a wobble? Well, today we have some exciting news… This precious pup has finally been adopted after a year in rescue! We’re so proud of how far this sweetheart has come, but before we break out our happy dance, let’s take a moment to honor the challenging journey that brought him here.
At just ten weeks old, sweet Bodhi was abandoned at the shelter. He was born with Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a neurological condition that impacted his balance and mobility. To make matters more complicated, Bodhi came from a severe hoarding case. When he first arrived at the shelter, he was emaciated, caked in filth, and suffering from a parasitic infection.
Our team took one look at Bodhi’s rescue plea and knew we had to do something. Most rescues would understandably hesitate to take on a pup with such intensive medical needs, and we knew Bodhi couldn’t wait for someone else to come along and save him. We accepted Bodhi’s case and got to work.
Our first order of business involved securing an MRI to better understand the extent of his Cerebellar Hypoplasia. That way, we could tailor a treatment plan to his unique needs. But just as we got one step closer to this essential milestone in Bodhi’s recovery, we had a devastating setback. Bodhi had developed gastrointestinal issues that prevented his body from absorbing essential nutrients.
We were starting to feel hopeless. And then, something wonderful happened. Donations came pouring in. Thanks to YOUR support, what felt like an insurmountable task became a reality overnight. Your generosity allowed us to tackle Bodhi’s gastrointestinal problems and schedule an MRI! Our team members cried tears of joy. Little by little, Bodhi’s health improved, and before we knew it, this precious pup was ready for adoption.
Can you guess what we’re going to say next? Yup! Bodhi has officially been adopted! He’s joining an incredible family with a kitty sibling and lots of love. Most importantly, this family is ready to offer the assistance he needs to thrive. We are SO excited about Bodhi’s new journey, and we’re endlessly thankful for your support. It took a village and over a year of hard work, but all dogs have a home out there; we just need to find them. Congrats, Bodhi Bumble!
