We’re so excited to share that Sophie is officially up for adoption! But before we start imagining the cozy couch cuddles and sunlit naps ahead, we want to honor the journey that led this brave little girl here. Sophie didn’t just survive unthinkable neglect. She overcame it with grace, courage, and a heart full of love.

The moment we saw Sophie’s shelter photo, our hearts cracked open. Her eyes looked so tired. So lost. We didn’t know exactly what she had been through, but the heartbreak was written all over her tiny, matted face. We knew we had to act fast.

Sophie’s condition left us speechless. Her nails had grown into full circles, curling back into the pads of her feet. Thick mats of fur covered her body, hiding wounds and unimaginable pain. Her tail was completely matted and immobile. But what shocked us most was her jaw—what remained of it was nothing more than decayed skin fused into fur.

Our team worked gently and patiently to remove the mats and the necrotic tissue. And when it was gone, when the weight of that neglect was finally lifted, you could see the change in Sophie’s face. The relief. The beginning of recovery.

Thankfully, this senior pup’s missing jaw was never enough to slow her down. She learned to eat soft, soupy meals like a champ. She snuggled up with her foster family, finally understanding what it meant to feel safe. With YOUR kindness and donations, Sophie made tremendous leaps forward in her healing.

And now… the next chapter begins. SOPHIE IS UP FOR ADOPTION! This sweet girl may be a little older, but don’t let that fool you. She’s full of spunk, sass, and sparkle. She’s ready to be someone’s constant companion, lap warmer, and very best friend. Sophie has taught us that it’s never too late for love. Now, we wait for the family who will open their arms to this precious pup. Whoever that lucky someone is… get ready. Sophie’s going to take over your couch—and your heart. We’re so proud of you, golden girl!
