Our sweet Engine is all better now, and we couldn’t be happier for him. He was initially found wedged deep inside a car engine, his poor body burned after the vehicle roared to life. Now, he’s thriving and is more than ready for his forever home!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. We truly can’t say it enough. We couldn’t have done this without you. Honestly, Engine’s lucky to be alive. Being in that car engine nearly killed him. He was only discovered because the car owner heard his desperate pleas for help and rushed to his aid. How horrible that must have been for everyone.

Animal Control officers rushed to the scene, carefully retrieving the injured, burned boy. He emerged with burns, oil exposure, and a mangled lip. Without hesitation, they rushed Engine to the local shelter for urgent treatment. That’s when we got the call for help, and we stepped in to assist without wasting a moment. His burns were quite severe—we could not even begin to imagine the pain he was going through.

As the days went on, so did Engine’s continued care. We applied soothing creams to his burns and administered a steady stream of pain relief and IV fluids to support his ailing body. The beautiful day came when he was well enough to go to Dallas, TX! There, his treatment went on, and he grew a little bit stronger every day.

Now, about two months later, Engine is officially cleared for adoption! That’s right—this incredible boy was nearly burned alive, but through patience, strength, and your generosity, he made a FULL recovery. His skin has healed nicely. We can hardly believe he is the same dog! Engine is sweet, lovable, and ready for his new chapter.
