Our Rescue

Our rescue was in a state of emergency. Over 400 animals were in our care, and we were under threat of closure. Adoption rates had plummeted, rescue returns were rising, and we couldn’t afford to cover our most basic needs. Even worse, our founder—who was the backbone of our mission for over a decade—was facing a devastating health battle. Our team couldn’t see a light at the end of the tunnel, but if we couldn’t keep our operations afloat, countless vulnerable animals would suffer.

And so, we took a leap of faith. We sent a desperate plea out to the CUDDLY community, uncertain of what the outcome would be. Our team opened our last bags of dog food and scheduled the last few vet appointments we could manage to afford, while crushing mortgage payments, costly vehicle repairs, and utility bills nearly drowned us.

And then, something magical happened. Animal lovers near and far began submitting donations. When those first few boxes of supplies were delivered, we couldn’t hold back our tears of gratitude. Nearly overnight, our crisis transformed into a miracle. 

Our dog bowls were overflowing, our medical debt was cut back, and our pups got the medicine and preventatives they so desperately needed. It was a breath of fresh air. With all the bad we see in rescue, we were stunned by the outpouring of love and kindness this community gave so freely. Needless to say, our faith in humanity was restored.

Your generosity helped our rescue find our footing and fueled us forward for another month. Today, our rescue operation is still going strong, and it’s all because of you. Words can’t express how grateful we are. Thank you so, so much.
