Joel

Our sweet Joel is finally home, soaking up the love he’s always deserved. He spends his days snuggling with his new sibling, taking sunny walks in the park, and showering his owners with kisses. We are so happy for him. But with any story of triumph, it began in heartbreak.

Joel was initially found sprawled out in someone’s yard, the victim of a brutal assault. We still don’t know exactly what may have happened to him. He had a large wound on his neck, a pool of blood beneath him. We rushed him into our car and booked it straight to the vet. His cries of pain broke our heart, and we wanted nothing more than to give him the healing he needed.

The moment we arrived, the medical team dove into action, doing everything they could to stabilize the poor baby. To close the wound, surgery was essential. He was admitted right away.

Post-operation, Joel healed beautifully. It took a few days, but eventually he was back on his feet, slowly emerging as the spirited, loving boy he had been all along. The wound was free of infection, and his emotional and physical scars diminished. It was as though he was an entirely new pup.

We are so grateful to everyone who stepped up during Joel’s time of need. To everyone who donated, prayed, and proved to us that we weren’t alone in this tragedy. We couldn’t have saved him without you. And we know Joel thanks you, too.

Once the vet cleared Joel, he was ready for his forever home. And soon enough, the most wonderful people stepped forward with open arms. He was now a loyal member of their family, enjoying the blissful, carefree life he’d always deserved. Thank you, endlessly, for giving Joel a second chance.
